New Directions in Environmental Law Conference: 4/12 - 4/14
LSCA is thrilled to announce that we are hosting this year’s New Directions in Environmental Law conference in coordination with students at Pace, NYU, CUNY and Yale Law Schools, as well as Yale School of the Environment!
The conference aims to explore the theme of “Climate Accountability from Big Law to Big Green” and will kick off at Pace Law School on Friday, 4/12 with a hybrid lunch event, followed by weekend panels and programming held at NYU law school. We hope that students, lawyers, and climate advocates of all kinds will find value in this year’s conference.
We are excited to welcome Colette Pichon-Battle and Taproot Earth for our first session, and Sahana Rao as our closing keynote speaker. A full schedule is included below.
For attorneys in need of CLE credits, this event has been approved for a total of 9.5 New York State CLE credits (1.5 credits in the category of Ethics & Professionalism and 8 credits in the category of Areas of Professional Practice). The credit is both transitional and non-transitional; it is appropriate for both experienced and newly admitted attorneys. Please see the full schedule below for a breakdown of credits by panel.
About the Conference
Historically a partnership between student organizers at Yale and Pace Law Schools, this year’s NDEL conference will center climate accountability and environmental justice, bringing in NYU and CUNY students along with grassroots organizers and lawyers from numerous sectors of the legal industry.
Tickets are available at the below link for a pay-what-you-can donation. No one will be turned away for inability to pay, but we appreciate any and all contributions, which will defray a portion of LSCA’s conference expenses.
